Cgarh disburses subsidy to electric vehicle owners

Chhattisgarh’s Transport on Saturday disbursed a subsidy of Rs 1.55 crore to 888 people who bought electric vehicles.

Transport Minister Mohammed Akbar said the government is taking the initiative to promote electric vehicles. Under the Electric Vehicle Policy, any person purchasing an electric vehicle can get a subsidy from the government.

The seller has to give his account number and IFSC code.

Ten percent of the value of the vehicle, subject to a maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh, will be directly transferred by the Transport Department to the account of the buyer, he said.
