Cgarh develops Krishna Kunjs as urban green cover

Plants in Krishna Kunjs developed by the Chhattisgarh government in urban areas have, after just one year, taken the shape of lush green trees.

An official Communication on Tuesday said that 55,781 saplings have been planted in 169 urban bodies across the state, covering 224 acres of land. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched the green mission on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami last year. The ambitious Krishna Kunj Yojana was launched with Baghel himself planting trees at Telibandha, Raipur.
