State firm gets bids of 2.61 a unit for solar plants

In the competitive bidding for 1,000-MW solar power projects conducted byRajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd(RUVNL), the -owned company received tariffs of Rs 2.61 per unit. The rates were lower than the Rs 2.73 that theGujarat Urja Vikasgot for its 600-MW projects in the e-reverse auction process.

While solar power developers said RUVNL did well to pull off the auction without doing it throughSolar Corporation of India, there are challenges in getting evacuation approvals.

In fact, there were more than half-a-dozen proposals for evacuation approval that is pending withRajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd(RVPN) for a long time. Solar developers said the winners of the auction should not face evacuation issues.

Rajasthan government agency to distribute Remdesivir to all hospitals

The stategovernmenthas issued an order thatRemdesivirand other drugs will be distributed to private andgovernment hospitalsthrough state-runRajasthanMedical Services Corporation Limited (RMSCL) in order to curb black-Marketing and hoarding of injections and medicines.

The central government has scaled up the allocation of the drugs for Rajasthan to 1,41,600 vials up toMay 9. Among all the seven companies, Zydus Cadila will supply 43,000 vials, Mylan will supply 32,000vials, Cipla will supply 26,500 vials and Hetero will supply 24,000 vials of Remdesivir.

Apart from these, Syngene/Sun will supply 1,600 vials of Remdesivir, Jubilant will supply 8,000 vials and Dr Redyys will supply 6,500 vials.

RTH now applicable to hospitals with over 50 beds: Rajasthan health minister

Health ministerParsadi Lal Meena said the Right to Health (RTH) Bill was now applicable to all hospitals with capacity of more than 50 beds and claimed thatRajasthanis the first state in the country to give this right to its people through a bill.

Efforts are underway to increase the manpower according to requirement in hospitals and collectors and CMHOs of the districts were authorized to ensure the same.

Sariska Tiger Reserve Sees A Rise In Tigers

Sariska Tiger Reserve’s habitat management program began in June 2020. This has increased the number of tigers in the area.

Highlights:

The number of tigers in reserve has risen to 25. Water holes and grasslands were created as part of habitat management.

For tourists, new paths have been opened. The paths were established in the tiger reserve’s buffer zone. It’s close to Alwar.

As part of its corporate social responsibility spending, a private company delivers needed goods and Resources.

Earthen bunds, water holes, and meadows have been built using CSR funding in ten different areas.

Sariska Tiger Reserve is situated in Rajasthan’s Alwar district. In 1978, it was designated as a tiger reserve.

Record 99.3 lakh students are enrolled in Rajasthan govt schools

The state has recorded the highest ever enrolment of 13 lakh students in government schools in the 2021-22 academic session. This has taken the total enrolment to almost 1 crore against 87 lakh in the 2020-21 academic year.

The rise is attributed to transfer of students from private to government schools in the pandemic year, enrolment of children from migrant families and improvement in quality Education. The desert state is among the few in the country that offers free education in government schools.

The situation in several schools has come to a level where they have refused admission to students due to running full capacity.

The performance of government schools during lockdown has also shown exemplary results. Programmes like SMILE and Aao Ghar Se Seekhen (Lets Learn From Home) where students are being taught online or through pre-recorded Videos have had a major impact in containing the Learning outcomes of students.

The rise in figures in government schools clearly means that fall of numbers in private schools. Data on private school enrolments for 2021-22 and 2020-21 is officially not available. In 2019-20, the official figures say that enrolment in private schools were 81 lakhs while in the government schools were 85 lakh in 2019-20.

App to help malnourished kids, pregnant women in Rajasthan

The has introduced a mobile application – ICDS CSS for Anganwadi workers for complete digitisation of records aiming to provide immediate help to pregnant Women and malnourished children under 5 years of age. The app is in Hindi and English.

Every Anganwadi worker has to feed information related to pregnant women, childrens Health in the app. Information like age, height, weight, ailment, health parameters will be updated on the app at regular intervals.

Every family will get an 11-digit unique code which will be used as a reference number to track the information about the beneficiary. The reporting for children will be done from one month to 60 months.

Youths in the state have shown great enthusiasm towardsCovid vaccination. The number of doses received by persons in the age group of 18 years to 45 years rose to 2.32 crore, which is over 49% of the doses administered since the launch of the drive in January.

Besides, over 1.05 crore doses have been administered to people above 60 years. Doses in the age group of 45 to 60 years have risen to 1.30 crore.

While the state is currently placed fifth in the country with highest number of vaccinations, the daily Covid infections are not a worry for the Health authorities.

Rajasthan Literary Festival to start in Jodhpur from Mar 25

In line with Jaipur Literary Festival (JLF), the is all set to organise theRajasthanLiterary Festival (RLF) in Jodhpur. The three-day event will be held at Janana Bagh from March 25.

The event will showcase various types of literary events. Besides, the government will give four all-India Awards in the name of four literary personalities of the state – Sarvashri Kanhaiya Lal Sethia, Komal Kothari,Sitaram LalasandVijay Dan Detha. Project ‘Vaani’ to boost confidence among young girls in Tonk district

Even after several programmes running for Education of girls and Women Empowerment, the root cause is lack of self-confidence and self-belief in young girls, mostly in rural regions of Rajasthan, that unable to bring them to the height of .

On such issues, the District Administration of Tonk is initiating project ‘Vaani’ to bring up self-confidence and self-belief in young girls and also in their families where parents will understand that girls are not lagging boys in any way.

The research made by the administration for Vaani shows that messages like ‘daughters have to go to their in-laws’, ‘Mukti is only through the birth of a son’, ‘teach household works to girls so that she will work when went to her in-laws’, lead to loss of self-confidence among girls.

Even Shiksha Chaupal model, Awards to children, programme like ‘mera manch, meri awaz (my stage, my voice), gender sensitisation of boys, Sports activities, community projects like library, parks and bolti dewarein (speaking walls) are some initiatives included in this project.

45% rape cases registered last year in Rajasthan false: DGP Umesh Mishra

The registration of false rape cases has gone up to 45% last year in the state, said director general of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra in the city on Monday, while stating that the crime data has shown an increase because the state police filed FIRs promptly when they received complaints.

The number of FIRs does not reflect an increase in crimes and showed that the police have registered cases fairly, Mishra said while addressing a press conference at the police headquarters and sharing the crime data.
