The increase in loads from industries and Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture goods has lifted logistic movement from Indore by over 20 per cent and may further go up, claimed players eyeing a jump in commodities and industrial goods.

Indore is a major trading and business center with an estimated movement of around 4,000 commercial vehicles every day, according to truckers.

Industry players said the drop in ocean freight and packaging materials have pushed the logistic movement from Indore.

Indore, a leading trading center of Madhya Pradesh, exports earth moving equipment, packaging films, pharmaceutical products, paper disposals, processed food among other items to different countries across the world.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated the officers of the departments related to revenue earning for achieving more revenue than the target. Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is only as a result of improvement in the system, use of technology and continuous motivation of people to deposit the amount of revenue and taxes, that more than the target have become possible in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan approved the proposal for re-implementation of Samadhan Yojana for recovery of old dues of mineral revenue. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the process of charging water rate for Irrigation should be implemented effectively.

The details of receipts from VAT, GST, Excise, Mineral, Transport, Energy, Forest, Revenue, Public Asset Management and Irrigation were presented in the meeting. It was informed that 7 percent more achievements have been made against the target set for the months of April and May. Enforcement proceedings have benefited from greater use of data analysis. In the cases of scrutiny also, notices were issued to more people, as a result of which the deposit amount has increased. In cases of GST also, action was taken by identifying the deficiencies on the basis of data analytics and returns.

Thirdly, they urge the government to double the number of Government and Private medical colleges by 2024 so that the benefits will come by 2029 when doctors will start graduating from these colleges.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan released the “Mela Panchang Year 2023-24” developed by the Madhya Pradesh Pilgrimage and Fair Authority at Samatva Bhavan. Chairman of the Authority Makhan Singh and Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr Rajesh Rajoura were present. Therefore, the Institute tested the tractor and issued a draft test report in February 2021.

Compared to other types of tractors, an electric tractor would be more environmentally friendly.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing 1450 MSME industrial units after transferring subsidy of Rs 400 crore with a single click. Micro, Small and Medium enterprises Minister Omprakash Sakhalecha, Secretary P Narhari and other officials were present in the programme held at the Chief Ministers residence office building Samatva. Entrepreneurs from all the districts of the state, representatives of Industry organizations participated virtually in the programme. The Chief Minister also interacted virtually with representatives of industry organizations and entrepreneurs.

Chouhan said that Indias economy is progressing under the Leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Activities are being carried out by developing a road map for Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh, in line with the Prime Ministers resolve to build an Atmanirbhar Bharat. Madhya Pradesh is the fastest growing economy of India. The GSDP of the state has become 13 lakh crore. But the capita income is Rs one lakh 40 thousand. A large number of EMPLOYMENT opportunities are being created for the youth by skill upgradation in value addition of agricultural products.

The economic survey report presented in the MP assembly says that the figures of revenue and fiscal expenditure on development clearly indicate the priority of the State Government.

It further said that from the year 2018-19 to 2021-22, financial help for water and cleanliness has increased 142% and 35% in the Energy sector. The state has properly adjusted its fiscal expenditure to its gross state domestic product (GSDP). In the last 5 years (from 2017-18 to 2021-22), it has on-an-Average invested 4.8% of GSDP on projects entailing fiscal expenditure. The state has spent 15.08% on Irrigation, 13.68% on water and sewage, 9.6% on roads, 8.07% on rural development and 5.78% on Education.

Chouhan further said that the is providing free books, scholarships and hostel facilities to the children of scheduled caste, tribes and poor families, besides paying the medical, engineering college fee of the meritorious children. He said that the government is providing houses under the “Pradhan MantriAwas” scheme to the poor, so that they can also live with dignity. The chief minister said that free ration is being provided under “Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan” and “Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojna”, so that poor families do not face any difficulty in their livelihood.
