As if it was not enough, the EMPLOYMENT generated by the Industrial Sector has also slumped, reveals the stateEconomic Surveyreleased a day before the presentation of the budget.

Besides poor indicators of school dropout rates, the Economic Survey also revealed poor Health indicators and said special efforts are required to bring them at par with other states. In the state with a lot of politics revolving around cows, the milk production is less than the production of eggs and meat.

The Revenue Receipts of the state are also expected to go up by 20.25% as the economic survey indicated revenue receipts of Rs 1,64,677.45 crore in 2021-22. By December 2021-22, the number of MSMEs (medium, small and micro enterprises) was 1,51,038 against 1,55,450 in 2020-21 . There was an Investment of only Rs 7,733.69 crore in MSMEs in the state by December 2021 against Rs 19,011.98 crore in the MSMEs in 2020-21. In 2021-22, this sector generated only 8,33,835 jobs against 13,08,923 in the year 2020-21.

In 2020, the number of unemployed in the state was 24.72 lakh which went up to 30.23 lakh in the next financial year. The Economic Survey said that the Percentage of educated youth has also gone up from 93.37 % (of the total number of unemployed) to 95.07 %.

The central government will give a grant of Rs 150 crore for scrapping government vehicles in Madhya Pradesh. This grant will be given on scrapping government vehicles which are 15 years old or more running in departments-offices, bodies, undertakings, three-tier panchayats.

According to the condition of the central government, if the state government issues an order to scrap vehicles older than 15 years, then Rs 75 crore will be released immediately in the first phase, while the remaining Rs 75 crore will be given on scrapping the vehicle within the time limit.

Union Government has approved the detailed project report of medical device park proposed to be developed atNalagarhin Solan district where land measuring 265 hectares has been identified. The estimated cost of the park is Rs 350 crore of which Rs 100 crore financial assistance would be provided by the Centre.

Chief ministerJai Ram Thakursaid the project will be completed by April 2024. He said on completion, this park would provide EMPLOYMENT to 10,000 people with the of Rs 5,000 crore.

The central government in September 2021 had given in-principle approval to set-up the park in Himachal Pradesh,Tamil Nadu,Madhya PradeshandUttarPradesh. Centre has identified the Industry as a sunrise sector with great potential for diversification and employment generation. Recognising the need for higher levels of investments for the creation of proper Infrastructure in the sector, the department of pharmaceuticals has notified the scheme for promotion of medical device parks.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that sensitive implementation of all the schemes being run for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes should be ensured. If there is a need to make necessary changes in the system for this, then that should also be implemented immediately.

The priority of the is for the economic, educational and social development of the SC-ST class. That is why it is necessary that the benefits of various schemes and welfare programmes being implemented by the state government for these sections should reach them at any cost.

Chouhan said that there is a need to improve the arrangements for hostels run by the government for scheduled classes. The authorities have to take immediate steps in this regard. He said that the hostels should be fixed and Money should be given for repairs.

The Chief Minister asked the concerned officers how many times they visited the hostels. He directed that the Principal Secretary and Commissioner of the department should also visit and make all the arrangements in the hostels perfect. All arrangements including drinking water should be adequate and the superintendents should be dedicated towards their work.

Bhopal (BMC) imposed spot fines in 262 cases and recovered around Rs 42,000.

Penalty was imposed for littering in public places and also for the use of polythene. The polythene bags of less than 50 microns are banned. Measures to sensitize people is an on-going task. BMC Health wing employees are also imposing penalty on those not wearing a mask in public places.
