Setting up of floating plant in Bargi and Gandhi Sagar under consideration

US Consulate General (Consul General) Michael Hankey paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Welcoming Hankey on behalf of the people of the state, Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is the heart of the country. Madhya Pradesh is at the forefront of the country in the field of cleanliness on the call of Prime Minister Modi. Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Power Project is a major project established in Rewa district in the field of . Its cost is Rs 4 thousand 500 crore and its capacity is 750 MW. Initiative has been taken to set up a solar powered floating plant at Omkareshwar. In future, there is a plan to set up such Plants at Bargi and Gandhi Sagar reservoirs as well.

Chouhan said that there are vast possibilities of increasing cooperation between India and the US in various fields. The meeting is important for working on bilateral trade and Investment priorities. Exports from Madhya Pradesh to the US have increased in the last three years. Exports were USD 1.05 billion in the year 2019-20, while this figure has increased to USD 1.28 billion in the year 2020-21 and USD 1.43 billion in the year 2021-22. The products mainly exported from Madhya Pradesh to the US include basmati rice, medicines, Cotton textiles, edible oil etc.

A very good base has been established in the state in the field of Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture-development”>AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT, Horticulture and Food Processing. Madhya Pradesh is the largest wheat exporting state in India. In this field too, possibilities of investment are being explored by sharing technology with the US. Efforts are being made to establish Center of Excellence, Incubation Center and Common Facility Center in PARTNERSHIP with US companies in the areas of Skill development and training, innovation and R&D.

The priority is to find new opportunities for partnership and innovation in smart city development in the state. Madhya Pradesh is striving for more investment in Infrastructure (roads), financial and renewable sectors. Possibilities exist to provide Marketing opportunities in the US to selected ODOP products in the state. Entrepreneurs are getting the benefit of the Start Your Business in Thirty Days system.

Madhya Pradesh: Satpura Tiger Reserve gets ‘Earth Guardian’ recognition

Satpura Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh has been awarded under the “Earth Guardian” category, of 11th edition of the NatWest Group Earth Heroes Awards. Senior IFS officer of MP, Brij Mohan Singh Rathore, has also been honoured with the “Lifetime Achievement Award”.

Celebrating efforts in ” – A resilient nature is the foundation on which all Climate mitigation and adaptation efforts must be raised”, theme for the 2021 awards, the eight winners were felicitated via a virtual ceremony that was graced by the chief guest, Ivonne Higuero, Secretary-General, Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), UN.

The annual awards are a national initiative that recognises efforts of individuals and institutions across India who are working tirelessly to subvert Climate Change by conserving and preserving the rich biodiversity of the country for a better relationship between the Society and nature.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that today I am going to take a historic decision for the entire state from the land of Pandhana. No poor in the State will stay homeless. Every poor family should have a piece of land for housing. Residential land will be given by the State Government to every poor family of the State to live in a suitable place. Chouhan said this at the dedication programme of 103 newly constructed Anganwadi buildings and nutrition gardens at Pandhana in Khandwa district.

Under the Jan Kalyan and Suraj Campaign Chouhan felicitated the girls of the state with scholarships and finacial assistance to the Women at Pandhana in Khandwa District. He distributed Rs 21 crore Scholarship to 75,961 girls under Ladli Laxmi Yojana and Rs 5 crore maternity assistance to 25,000 pregnant and lactating mothers under Pradhan Mantri Matra Vandana Yojana. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also dedicated newly constructed buildings of 103 Anganwadi centers in 32 districts and 10,000 Nutrition gardens (Poshan Vatika) in 52 districts in the state level programme.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also distributed nutrition rights notifications to the mothers of children who have come under normal nutrition category from Malnutrition category in 22 districts. Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Khandwa district in-charge and Culture and Tourism Minister Sushri Usha Thakur, MLA, public representatives and a large number of beneficiaries were present.

Night Safari Introduced in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh has introduced night safari tours in three national parks in Madhya Pradesh on March 4, 2021. Highlights:

With the introduction of night safaris in the three national parks of Madhya Pradesh, wildlife lovers can now experience majestic animals at night.

The three parks include Bandhavgarh , Kanha National Park and Pench National Park.

Usually, day trips are carried out during the day, because tourists feel safer during the day. But because of the day trip, tourists missed the opportunity to witness nocturnal animals in their natural habitat.

Therefore, the state now hopes to organize hunting activities in a controlled manner. Under the safari park, the route will be determined by the state. They will ensure that neither animals nor tourists are harmed.

Reservation for Night Safari can be booked on the Wildlife Safari Reservation portal. The portal is operated by the State Forestry Department.

Bandhavgarh National Park: This national park located in the Umaria district (Madhya Pradesh). The park covers an area of 105 square kilometers. The Bandhavgarh park was declared a national park in 1968. It was designated as a tiger reserve in 1993. Currently, the core area covers 716 square kilometers. The tiger Population density in Bandhavgarh is 8 tigers per square kilometer, which is the highest known population density. The park is also known as Panch National Park.

Pench National Park: This national park was established in Madhya Pradesh in 1975. The area is 257.26 square kilometers. The name of the park is taken from Pench River. The park was designated as a refuge in 1965, a national park in 1975, and a tiger reserve in 1992.

The role of big industries is as important as the role of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in the yagya that is going on to make a 21st century Atmanirbhar Bharat under the Leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The role of these entrepreneurs is very important in providing employment to the youth, they are a powerful means of creating and employment opportunities at the local level. The State Government is committed to provide all possible cooperation to help and develop these units working locally on local Resources. For this purpose, the theme of the summit being held today has been kept as Positive coincidence of Economic Development – Micro, Small and Medium Industries of Madhya Pradesh.

Chouhan inaugurated the State Level MSME Summit at Hotel Amer Green Bhopal. Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai was present as a special guest. The office bearers of several Industry associations, big industrial houses, new entrepreneurs, senior officers of the central and state governments participated in the summit.

The Chief Minister said that Micro, Small and Medium enterprises are partners in the prosperity and development of Madhya Pradesh. Chouhan said that 12 schemes are being implemented in the state to promote self-employment and small industries. Mukhyamantri Seekho Kamao Yojana is also being implemented, in which 700 works have been identified. Entrepreneurs should join this scheme, connect youth, make them skilled and take advantage of the scheme. This scheme is useful for entrepreneurs and youth desirous of employment and is effective for making Madhya Pradesh capable and self-reliant.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated Indore for bagging the first position in overall 11 awards to 5 smart cities of the State and Madhya Pradesh for ranking second in the category of States in the India Smart City Awards Contest-2020.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh has also appreciated the entire staff for this remarkable achievement.

He has also congratulated the administration and local people of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur and Sagar for this achievement. Surat has also got bagged the first position along with Indore.

On completion of six years of Smart City Mission, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri announced the results of India Smart City Contest-2020 in a programme organized through virtual meet.

Built Environment Theme – Indore bagged first position for 56 shop projects. Sanitation Theme Indore, along with Tirupati city, bagged the first position in Municipal Waste Management System theme.

Culture Theme – Indore got first place for Conservation of Built Heritage and Gwalior got third place for Digital Museum. economy Theme – Indore got the first position for Financing Mechanism. Urban environment Theme – Bhopal bags first position for Clean Energy with Chennai.

Indore bagged the first position for the Carbon Credit Financing Mechanism in the Innovation Idea Award theme. Indore got first place and Jabalpur got third place in Round 1 Cities. Sagar got second place in Round 3 Cities.

Burhanpur becomes countrys model district

Burhanpur Women of Madhya Pradesh are the happiest to have received the Prime Ministers Award for Excellence for the best performance in the country in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, presented the Prime Ministers Award for Excellence to Burhanpur Collector Bhavya Mittal at a grand ceremony on Civil Services Day in New Delhi today. It is the result of cooperation and coordination between the government and the citizens. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has continuously encouraged innovation in development programmes and processes.

Burhanpur district has acquired an unprecedented and proud achievement of providing pure drinking tap water to every household through the Jal Jeevan Mission. Burhanpur has got the distinction of becoming the first Har Ghar Jal-certified district in the country. Burhanpur has given a new direction to the country by providing water to every village. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, tap water has been made available to more than 51 lakh 15 thousand rural families of the state so far. Water is being supplied to all 254 villages under the Har Ghar Jal scheme. These villages have been certified under Har Ghar Jal.

MP bags award for excellent work in irrigation sector

The Central Irrigation and Energy Bureau has selected the state of Madhya Pradesh as excellent state for the work done in the irrigation sector. Nomination was filed on the basis of successful implementation of Mohanpura and Kundalia project of Madhya Pradesh for Bureau CBIP Award. Madhya Pradesh has earned first position in the efficient use of Resources“>Water Resources.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took continuous decisions for the expansion of irrigation area and approved and implemented many irrigation schemes. With the vision and special efforts of Chief Minister Chouhan, the irrigated area of the state has increased from 8 lakh hectare to 45 lakh hectare in the last 15 years.

Due to the strong will power of Chief Minister Chouhan, water has been supplied to the fields through the pressure pipe system in Madhya Pradesh using new technology in the last 3 years. Madhya Pradesh has been recognized as the first state to have irrigated more than double the area with the same water as compared to the canal system by irrigating through pipe system.

MP Transco gets the best technological pavilion award

In the India International Science Festival 2023 held in Bhopal last day, Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (MP Transco) was adjudged the best among other technical stalls displayed in the festival. For this MP Transco was awarded with the Best Technological Pavilion award. Energy Minister of Madhya Pradesh Pradyuman Singh Tomar has congratulated the officers and employees on this achievement.

In this mega Science and Technology exhibition, various innovations made by MP Transco in its system as per Madhya Pradesh government policy ,were displayed through models. In innovation, model of survey through drone for maintenance of Extra high tension transmission lines, special insulated dress used for bare hand maintenance of Extra high tension transmission lines,, model of Extra high voltage substation was the center of special attraction. The students also saw and understood the stall of MP Transco with interest and also took information about the stalls from the officers present. Apart from this, many subject experts showed interest in the stall and appreciated MP Transco for keeping the transmission system better by innovation.

Khajuraho Dance Festival MP

The Madhya Pradesh Kala Parishad organizes the Khajuraho Dance Festival, a one-week classical dance festival held annually beside the Khajuraho temples located within the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. This festival takes place from 20th to 26th February.

Highlights

With performances by a number of the highest practitioners within the field, this festival celebrates the range of Indian classical dance genres like Bharathanatyam, , Kuchipudi, Odissi, Kathakali, and Manipuri. Recently, modern Indian dance has been included.

In an open auditorium, generally ahead of the Chitragupta Temple, devoted to Surya, i.e., the Sun God, and therefore the Vishvanatha Temple, which is devoted to Lord Shiva, the dances are performed.
