Urdu to be taught in Haryana soon: Khattar

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced that a plan is being formulated to teachUrdulanguage in the state.

The CM said this during a direct dialogue with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha. During the meeting, national vice-president ofBJP Minority Morcha, Zakir Hussain, state president of Haryana BJP Minority Morcha, Naseem Ahmed and OSD to chief minister, Bhupeshwar Dayal were present.

On the demand of Minority Morcha, CM Khattar announced five community centres in Muslim-dominated areas. For this, he asked the members to select five places and submit the list. The CM said Gram Darshan portal will address development-related problems in villages. Through this portal, the complainant can directly reach the District Administration to raise any issue related to street, drains and other problems of the villages, he said. The government will also set up Nagar Darshan Portal on the same lines, which will cater to the development problems of the urban area, he added.

Soon, Haryana will have its own state song with the state Art and Cultural Affairs Department having begun the process for the composition of the state song.

The Department has invited compositions from writers and poets of the state for the state song. Interested writers and poets can send their compositions to the department by August 15, said an official spokesman.

He said that the Department has invited compositions from writers and poets native to Haryana. The composition should be based on the cultural heritage of Haryana, its traditions and historical as well as geographical and social aspects.

The author of the best composition which will be selected as the state song, will be honoured with a cash award of Rs one lakh.

The Centre will soon write a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh for a joint meeting with Haryana to resolve the contentious issue of construction of Sutlej-Yamuna Link Canal project.

On the issue of SYL canal, the Chief Minister said that a meeting which Punjabs Chief Minister had scheduled regarding the construction of SYL has not been held yet. In this direction, a letter will be written by the Union Minister to the Punjab Chief Minister.

Notably, the sharing of the Ravi-Beas waters has been a bone of contention between Punjab and Haryana for decades. While Haryana has been seeking its rightful share, the successive Punjab Governments have refused to share water and complete the SYL canal, stating that it has no water to spare.

The Center has assured to provide Rs 500 crore for the development of Saraswati under the National River Conservation Scheme, he added.

The Chief Minister further said that under the ‘Nal Se Jal’ scheme, eight districts of Haryana have been completely covered and soon, Haryana will be the first state in the country to cover all the districts under this scheme.

Haryana is not able to discharge more water in the Yamuna. After the completion of Renuka, Kishau and Lakhwad dam projects on the upper Yamuna basin, the water situation will be assessed again and will be considered according to the situation.

CM launches community policing & outreach prog

Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday launchedHaryana Uday- a community policing and outreach programme – to promote better ties between the District Administration, law enforcement agencies and the public.

Implementation of the initiative will begin across the state from June 1, Khattar announced during an address in Sector 79 of the city.
Under the outreach programme, district deputy commissioners will organise jan savads, collaborative exercises to clean ponds, art, music and poetry competitions, school and mohalla-level Sports events, tree plantation drives, and overnight stays in villages by Ias and HCS officers. Besides these, mock youth and village parliaments, and pulling in government schools for cleanliness and Health initiatives are part of the plan.

For community policing, Police commissioners and SPs of districts will launch sports competitions, Raahgiri-like initiatives, awareness campaigns on drug abuse, and events related to police ki paathshala, etc.

Will promote MSMEs, says Haryana Deputy Dushyant Chautala

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala presided over the meeting with officials concerned where he informed that the states MSMEs would also participate in the manufacturing of three-star submersible electric motors to be installed on tubewells in Haryana.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the charge of the Department of Industries and Commerce, said the was promoting MSMEs in the state so that more people could get EMPLOYMENT. He said industries which met the standards of the bureau of Energy Efficiency in the field of manufacturing three-star submersible electric motors, should be given opportunity to enter the market. He said the state government wanted farmers to get quality three-star submersible electric motors at a reasonable price so that the electricity expenditure and maintenance cost was reduced which would ultimately enhance their annual Savings.

Haryana launches online portal for empanelment of private hospitals

To provide transparent and better and quick Health Services to the people, Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday launched a portal and Software for the empanelment of private hospitals. Vij also launched the Randomization and Real Time Inspection Software (Drug Wing) of the Food and Drug Administration Department for inspection of drug licensee’s institutions. Haryana is the first state in the country to launch this software.

He said that the Government is committed to providing the best healthcare facilities to its employees, pensioners and their dependents, especially tertiary and super-specialty healthcare facilities. The same is facilitated through empanelment of private hospitals in addition to government health institutions. To ensure highest quality standards, only JCI/ NABH accredited hospitals are taken on the panel, since 2017. There is no fee for empanelment.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Tuesday approved the proposal for purchase of 200 acres of land for the AIIMS to be constructed in Rewari.

or the Aiims to be built in Rewari, the committee approved the purchase of 200 acres of land at the rate of Rs 40 lakh per acre. For identifying the land for this project, the concerned Deputy Commissioner was asked to prepare a detailed report of the available land, said an official spokesman.

He said that the approval for the purchase of land for seven other projects cleared the way for the bypass in Hathin. This will help Hathin to get rid of traffic congestion. Not only this, it will also speed up the development of Hathin.

Apart from this, the landowners also agreed on the price for the construction of a Water Treatment Plant at Rajound in Kaithal district, after which the land was approved to be purchased for the plant.

With focus on growth, women initiatives, environment Haryana govt presents Rs 1.77-lakh-cr Budget

There has been no new tax in the Rs 1.77 lakh crore Budget, presented by the Haryana government on Tuesday which has emphasis on economic Growth, ease of living for citizens and initiatives for Women.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who also has the Finance Department under him, said it lays emphasis on spurring growth through increased Investment. The Budget envisioned five developmental forces through the ‘Vajra Model’ for enhanced economic growth and Human Development, ease of living for citizens, lifting the poor and disadvantaged from all socioeconomic groups, leveraging productivity through increased adoption of technology accompanied by EMPLOYMENT and Entrepreneurship.

Among its focus areas are initiatives for women to boost infrastructure, Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and overall growth.

Khattar proposed a Budget of Rs 1,77,255.99 crore for the financial year 2022-23, a rise of 15.6 per cent over the Budget size of Rs 1,53,384 crore in 2021-22. The Budget outlay comprises 34.4 per cent as Capital Expenditure at Rs 61,057.36 crore and 65.6 per cent as Revenue Expenditure at Rs 1,16,198.36 crore.The debt liability is likely to go up to Rs 2,43,779 crore in the financial year 2022-23, from Rs 2,23,768 crore as of March 2022.

In Budget Estimates (BE) 2022-23, the total Revenue Receipts are projected to be at Rs 1,06,424.70 crore. They comprise tax revenues of Rs 73,727.50 crore, non-tax revenues of Rs 12,205.86 crore, share of central taxes of Rs 8,925.98 crore and a grant-in-aid of Rs 11,565.86 crore. Besides this, capital receipts are projected to be Rs 5,393.89 crore. The Fiscal Deficit is estimated to be 2.99 per cent of GSDP in 2021-22 and for FY 2022-23, it is expected to be within the prescribed limit of 3.5 per cent by the 15th Finance Commission, at 2.98 per cent of GSDP as per BE for 2022-23.

321 top builders owe Rs 15,585 crore to Haryana; list of top 10 defaulters inside

Major builders in Haryana have defaulted on the payment of a whopping Rs 15,585 crore to the by way of the external development charges (EDC) and state Infrastructure development charges (SIDC).

Sources said realty giants were among the 321 defaulters with 137 of them being classified as major defaulters with over Rs 20 crore pending dues against each as on December 31, 2021.

The top 10 defaulters included Ireo SU (Rs 984 crore), Countrywide Promoters Private Limited (Rs 952 crore), Unitech Limited (Rs 823 crore), Supertech (Rs 622 crore), Ambience (Rs 599 crore), TDI (Rs 484 crore), Parsvnath Developers Limited (Rs 477 crore), Vatika Limited (Rs 475 crore), Ansal API (Rs 380 crore) and Raheja Developers Limited (Rs 354 crore).
