Govt working with vision of maximum governance minimum government, says Hry CM

After unfurling the during the 74th Republic Day celebrations in Yamunanagar, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said that in the last more than eight years, the State Government has done the work of instilling new hope among its citizens by bringing radical changes in the system while working with a new vision of maximum Governance minimum government.

Sending a strong and clear message to those who call Manohar Sarkar a government of portals, the Chief Minister said, We have ensured the maximum use of IT in governance so as to minimize human intervention. The result of this is that today people are getting government Services, schemes and other benefits at their doorstep.

Our government is often called the government of portals. I am proud of being called the government of portals, through these portals we have introduced paperless and faceless governance in Haryana. During our tenure, we have launched more than 100 apps and portals that have ensured transparency in the distribution of benefits of schemes and services. Now every eligible person is getting their benefits, while the ineligible ones are being identified, said Khtattar.

He said that it is only because of the portal system that today the benefits of Shagun Yojna, old age pension, and scholarships of students are being directly reached to the accounts of the beneficiaries with just one click.

The subsidy to the farmers for buying fertilizer, seed, machinery subsidy, crop compensation, and crop purchase Money is also being directly transferred into the accounts of the farmers. Besides this, it is only because of these IT reforms that now the farmers do not have to make rounds of the offices of the Patwaris to get the Fard (Jamabandi) for their land. Now they can get the same with just one click. Youth wishing to go abroad can also upload the necessary documents online while sitting at Home to get their passports, asserted Khattar.

Water Resources Dam project is effective step towards water harvesting: Haryana CM

To utilize the rainwater for drinking water and Irrigation purposes post rainy season throughout the year, Haryana Government is constructing Dams for conserving the water flowing by way of springs in the Aravalli and Shivalik hills in the State. The announcement was made by the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday while addressing a programme organized on the occasion of Bhoomi Pujan of Jal Suraksha Sunishchitikaran Bandh Pariyojana in Pathkhori village of Firozpur Jhirka subdivision of Nuh district, which has been selected under the Aspirational District Transformation Programme.

He appreciated the efforts of Tarun Bharat Sangh for taking concrete steps towards water conservation by building a dam and also announced Rs 50 lakh for this project from his voluntary fund. He said that rainwater should be stored for the conservation of ponds, stepwells and lakes.

The Chief Minister said that the water-level in this area is very low and has become saline as well. Thus, Ranney Well Scheme of Rs 263 crore has been started here to overcome the water shortage in this area. The Government has been working to provide sufficient water to Southern Haryana. In this episode, Mewat Canal is being constructed with a capacity of 200 cusecs, wherein water will be taken from Yamuna River along with KMP Expressway.

HAFED signs pact with IFFCO for urea product

The Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indian https://exam.pscnotes.com/farm-Forestry“>Farm forestry Development Cooperative (IFFCO) regarding arrangement of a newly launched product IFFCO Nano Urea (liquid) in 500 ml pack.

Two sites in Haryana have been recognised as wetlands of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. Beside the two sites in Haryana, 2 sites in Gujarat too were recognised, taking the number of such sites to 46 in the country.

The Union Environment Ministry said Sultanpur in Gurgaon and Bhindawas Wildlife Sanctuary in Jhajjar — have been included in the Ramsar list.

The aim of the Ramsar list is “to develop and maintain an international Network of wetlands which are important for the conservation of global biological diversity and for sustaining human life through the maintenance of their ecosystem components, processes and benefits”.

Haryana’s Bhindawas Wildlife Sanctuary is a human-made freshwater wetland and the largest in Haryana. Over 250 bird species use the sanctuary throughout the year as a resting and roosting site. The site supports more than 10 globally threatened species including the endangered Egyptian Vulture, Steppe Eagle, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, and Black-bellied Tern.

The Sultanpur National Park in Haryana supports more than 220 species of resident, winter migratory and local migratory waterbirds at critical stages of their life cycles.

Free treatment for BPL patients in private hospitals

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced that the treatment cost of Covid patients belonging to the below https://exam.pscnotes.com/POVERTY-line”>Poverty Line (BPL) category would be borne by the State Government.

Earlier, the government had announced a financial assistance of up to Rs 35,000 to BPL patients.

The Chief Minister was apprised that about 10,000 Oxygen cylinders had been delivered to patients on their doorstep to date. So far, 378 NGOs have been registered on oxygenhry.in supply cylinders.

Haryana Police to draw up data on unlisted criminals

The names of lesser known criminals from Haryana surfacing in Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewalas killing and perpetrating crime in neighbouring states set the alarm bells ringing in the Haryana Police, which has decided to draw up a list of unknown criminals from the state through participatory policing.

Under the gram prahari initiative being prepared, the state police intend to reach out to the villagers for gathering information about missing youth.

However, with no data available on other criminals whose names cropped up in connection with the gangs and the murder, the police have also decided to tap the villagers to gather information.

The gram prahari scheme is essentially aimed at getting intelligence input about little-known criminals

In Haryana, no BPL card for having fridge, scooter

The Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC) has questioned how can donated household items like a refrigerator or an old scooter, or a generations-old house disqualify a person from the states BPL list.

The commission made the observation in the case of a Sonepat resident, who was excluded from the BPL list, and summoned the administrative/principal secretary concerned. The Urban Projection Officer, Sonepat , submitted before the commission that if a household has a vehicle or has two or more rooms with pucca walls and roof or has a refrigerator or a landline or has a member earning more than Rs 10,000 per month or owns 2.5-acre or more of irrigated land, it will be excluded from the BPL list. The Bench comprising Chairperson Justice SK Mittal (retd) and member Deep Bhatia observed, There are many grounds for disqualification of a BPL applicant which are basic necessities of life and are generally found in every household, including the ones living below the POVERTY-line”>Poverty Line.

Haryana to setup solid waste management plants in state

Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal said that the Government will set up Solid Waste Management Plants (SWMP) in the state to further accelerate the Swachhta campaign. All the districts have been divided into 13 clusters for implementing the Solid Waste Management projects. In the first phase SWMP will be set up in three clusters i.e Bhiwani, Sirsa and Karnal. Presiding over a meeting of the Committee of Secretaries to approve the selection of implementing agencies for Integrated Solid Waste Management projects on Public Private PARTNERSHIP (PPP) basis, he said that the committee of secretaries today approved the agencies for implementing the SWMP to these three clusters. These projects will be based on open technology. In open technology, the agency can set up bio-methanation plants, compost plants and plants for waste disposal, he added.

8,000 hectares of Aravalis in Faridabad not part of NCZ: Haryana govt

Around 8,000 hectares of theAravalisinFaridabadare not part of the Natural Conservation Zone (NCZ), theHaryanagovernment has pointed out. This is likely to pave the way for constructions in the green area, an issue that has led to several court petitions by environmental activists.

It has been noted that in the revenue record, there is no term namely Aravalli, rather there is only mention of Gair Mumkin Pahar. Accordingly, some of the districts have identified the areas recorded as Gair Mumkin Pahar, in revenue records, under NCZ by considering the same as Aravalli’ and simultaneously highlighted the same for decision by state level committee for NCZ.

The Haryana government has spent years deliberating on the definition of forests. In December 2016, it had agreed with the NCR planning board on the issue of forests. In 2017, the board had referred to the December 2016 meeting with the government and said that specified areas (i.e. the land categories of Gair Mumkin Pahar or Gair Mumkin Rada or Gair Mumkin Behed or Banjad Beed or Rundh) as given in the MoEFs notification dated 07.05.1992 are to be included while identifying/delineating Aravalli in entire NCR, by the participating states.

Out of six projects worth Rs 1565 crore sent by Haryana Government during the current financial year 2021-22, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned three projects with loan amount of Rs 737 crore while other three are still under consideration.

These include projects of the Public Health and Engineering Department, Public Works Department (Building and Roads), Irrigation-and-water”>Irrigation and water Resources Department, Food and Civil Supplies Department, HAREDA.

This was informed during the review meeting presided over by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar regarding various projects that are being funded by .

He said that Haryana is among the leading states in the country in terms of getting more financial assistance from National Bank for Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) in the year 2020-21, despite COVID-19 pandemic.

In the last financial year of 2020-21, the State has received 44 percent more financial assistance from NABARD as compared to the financial year 2019-20. During the pandemic, the state was also able to get financial assistance of Rs 1,030 crore in the year 2020-21 as against Rs 468 crore in the year 2014-15, said Khattar.

The state’s GDP has seen the highest Growth in the country in the last 10 years and is consistently ranked among the top three fastest growing states in the country, he added.
