Haryana to plant 3 crore saplings in 2,200 villages: Forest minister

Haryana forest minister Kanwar Pal said the government has planned to plant three croresaplingsof trees in 2,200 villages of the state this year.

Kanwar inspected different projects of the Haryana forest and wildlife department in Yamunanagar. He said 17 lakh saplings will be planted in 176 villages of Yamunanagar.

Kanwar said with the motive to increase green cover of Haryana, trees of different medicinal and fruit-bearing species were being planted in villages as well as along highways and roads.

Implementation of POSH Act far from satisfactory: Women panel

Expressing concern over rising incidents of sexual harassment at coaching/educational institutions, the https://exam.pscnotes.com/national-commission-for-Women“>National Commission for Women (NCW) has stated that the implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, on the ground is far from satisfactory.

It has further said non-implementation of the guidelines/provisions of the Act amounts to violation of the Fundamental Rights of a woman under Article 14, 15, 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India.

She has also urged him to direct all coaching institutes to take steps to prevent sexual harassment of students attending coaching either from fellow students or teachers, besides ensuring that these coaching centres are registered with the authorities concerned and background of those running such centres be checked thoroughly.

LEADS Report: Haryana bags second position

Taking a giant leap in the Ease Across Different States (LEADS) report recently released by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC), Haryana has bagged the second position in the LEADS 2021 index.

Proactive policies, well-developed Infrastructure and Services driven by a responsive Government have not only helped Haryana to emerge as

one of the top performers in the LEADS 2021 index but also to get an increase of four places as compared to its sixth position in the 2019 index. Efficiency in logistics would contribute in building Aatmanirbhar Bharat and making India a five trillion dollar economy.

Haryana making a new entry in the top three rankings at the second position, certainly highlights the fact that stakeholders in Haryana have exhibited higher confidence in existing infrastructure and services compared to Punjab, hence the jump in ranking vis a vis earlier year, he said.

The State has secured the highest score for several indicators including quality of Warehousing infrastructure, timeliness of cargo delivery during transportation, operating and regulatory Environment, and efficiency of regulatory services. This improvement in ranking is reflected in the initiatives undertaken by the State, the spokesman said.

As per the LEADS report 2021, the improvement in the logistics sector in the State is also echoed in the anecdotal evidence such as Haryana is taking good initiatives with key players bringing warehouse facilities along highways.

Along with this, the report also highlights that the state has the maximum number of private freight terminals that is nine in the country and stands third highest in terms of Inland Container Depot (ICDs) that is nine.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar okays 900 acres for Maruti plant in Sonipat

Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday approved automobile giant Marutis plan to set up its third manufacturing plant in the state. In the city to preside over a meeting of theHaryanaEnterprises Promotion Center, Khattar announced that the plan had been finalised during ongoing talks withMarutito set up the plant on around 900 acres of land at Kharkhoda in Sonipat district.

This has been discussed in detail with the senior management of the company. If the company deposits the entire amount within 45 days, then it will be given a 10% DISCOUNT on the total amount as per the policy.

Legal services delivery to be strengthened in Haryana

In a sui-generis collaborative move, the Haryana Right To Service Commission has tied up with the District Legal Services Authority Ambala for further strengthening the services delivery regime in the state of Haryana.

Presiding over as guest of honour at a mega legal aid camp as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Chief Commissioner Haryana Right to Service Commission, TC Gupta said the DLSA, Ambala, had done commendable work towards making the social sector schemes of the government reach the targeted beneficiaries at the grassroots level.

In a bid to discourage sporadic development of farmhouses and encourage eco-friendly dwelling units in agriculture zones of the state, the Manohar Lal Khattar Government in Haryana has come out with a new policy for change of land (CLU) use with mandatory conditions that such premises would not be used for commercial purposes and have tree plantation on at least 15 percent of its land.

The policy notified by the Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana envisages the farmhouses as self sustainable units in the state. Under the policy for grant of CLU permission to set up eco-friendly farmhouse in Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture zones in Haryana, the eco-friendly farmhouse has been defined as a house constructed by the owner of a farm at his land for the purpose of main dwelling unit (residential) and ancillary use (farm/animal shed or ward/servant quarters).

It would be mandatory to install Rain Water Harvesting systems, ensure 100 percent treatment and reuse of waste water, 100 percent on site processing of all green/animal waste, tree plantation on at least 15 percent of farm land and installation of solar water heating systems in such premises.

The new CLU policy assumes significance in view of illegal farmhouses that have come up on agriculture zones in the state. The policy will be applicable in the agriculture zone of hyper, high, medium and low potential towns beyond 500 mtrs distance from the urbanizable zone of respective development plans.

CHIAL pays Rs 3.56cr dividend to Hry for 2020-21

A dividend of Rs 3.56 crore has been disbursed byChandigarh International Airport Limited(CHIAL) to the Haryana government for 2020-2021.

Hry CM digitally transfers over Rs 6 crores into accounts of 223 beneficiaries

To provide socio-financial security to Antyodaya families under DAYALU Yojana, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday digitally transferred Rs. 6.36 crore into the accounts of 223 beneficiaries of Antyodaya families having annual income of upto Rs 1.80 lakhs in case of death or disability (more than 70 percent) of their family members.

Presiding over the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officers to change the age category, so as to ensure that maximum families can be benefitted. As per the decision, now financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh will be given for age over 25 years upto 45 years. Earlier the assistance was for age over 25 years upto 40 years. A similar change has been made in the age category of for the age of above 40 years upto the age of 60 years. Now the assistance of Rs 3 lakh, instead of Rs. 2 lakh will be given for age of above 45 years upto the age of 60 years. Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij, School Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar and Higher Education Minister Mool Chand Sharma were present in the meeting.

According to an official statement, at present, this scheme provides assistance that would vary depending on the age of the person at the time of death or permanent disability. The assistance of Rs.1 lakh upto the age of 6 years, Rs 2 lakh above the age of 6 years upto the age of 18 years, Rs 3 lakh for age above 18 years upto 25 years, Rs 5 lakh for age over 25 years upto 40 years and Rs 2 lakh for the age of above 40 years upto the age of 60 years. This scheme also includes the amount received under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and other Insurance schemes.

The Chief Minister said that the is committed to the economic and social upliftment of Antyodaya. He said that he considers the entire Haryana as his own family. DAYALU Yojana launched by the state government is a part of the series of initiatives taken by the state government for providing several kinds of financial relief to such families, said Khattar.

Under the DAYALU Yojana, on the basis of the PPP verified data, assistance is provided in case of death or disability (more than 70 percent) in respect of a member of a family having an annual income of upto Rs.1.80 lakh. The Government has established a trust namely Haryana Parivar Suraksha Nyas to consolidate existing insurance schemes, ensure standardized and simplified claims processing and provide direct benefits to the people.

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Tuesday said that the state has become first in the country where the registered labourers involved in building and other construction works will get the benefit of their welfare schemes on ‘First-In, First-Out’ basis.
