Doorstep health facility launched in Cgarh

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched a new initiative aimed at providing medical facilities through telemedicine even in remote villages.

The “Doctor Tumcho Dwaar” was initiated at a programme held in Bedma village in Bastar regions Kondagaon district.

At present, the pilot project aims to provide the medical facilities in Baderajpur and Farasgaon development blocks where accessibility is a challenge.

A dedicated 24-hour call centre will be established to provide comprehensive Health support.

When a call is received, a team of doctors, ANMs and other staff members will be alerted. Doctors will offer tele-consultations and guidance, engaging in discussions with patients and their families regarding their health concerns.

In case of critically ill patients who require immediate treatment, doctors and their teams will visit their homes in a well-equipped vehicle to provide necessary medical care.

The Chief Minister’s Haat Bazaar Clinic scheme, designed to offer healthcare Services in remote areas, is also being successfully implemented in the district.

With the latest scheme’s success, it will be expanded to other development blocks as well.

The Chhattisgarh government has decided to provide scholarships besides free school education to children who lost their parents to Covid-19, it was announced on Monday.

The students of such eligible schools will be given a Scholarship of Rs 500 per month from Class 1 to 8 and Rs 1,000 per month from Class 9 to 12, an official press release said.

The School Education Department has asked all Collectors to implement the scheme in coordination with the School Education, Health and Social Welfare departments.

Besides children who lost their parents, those children who have lost the family breadwinner can also benefit from the scheme.

Eligible children will get free education in government schools and priority in admission to the state-run Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools in the state.

CM lauds Anganwadi workers, Mitanins for service to mankind

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said the work done by Anganwadi workers, assistants and Mitanin was incomparable. No one else can do their work and they are an example of service to humanity.

He was addressing the Abhaar Sammelan at the Science College Ground here.

The event was held by the Women and Child Development Department to thank the Chief Minister for hiking the honorarium of Anganwadi workers, assistants and Mitanins.

Baghel felicitated six Anganwadi workers and five Mitanins for excellent work. Six self-help groups were handed over a cheque of loan amount of Rs. 10 lakh from Mahila Kosh.

The Chief Minister pledged that the annual income limit of women will be increased from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 2 lakh for the benefit of the scheme under Saksham Yojana.

The limit of loan amount given to women groups will be increased from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 6 lakh. He also pledged to construct 5,000 Anganwadi buildings.

Baghel said that during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Anganwadi workers, assistants and Mitanins did when none else did. They continued to work during lockdown fighting Malnutrition.

Similarly, he praised their role in the fight against malaria. The door-to-door malaria tests were done by Mitanins and medicines were distributed, helping to bring down the malaria cases.

Baghel launches Noni Sashaktikaran Yojana’

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday formally launched the “Mukhyamantri Noni Sashaktikaran Yojana”, a scheme which provides financial assistance to the first two daughters of families of labourers.

He launched the scheme by handing over cheques of Rs 20,000 each to 16 beneficiary daughters in his Home constituency Patan.

Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 20,000 will be given to the first two daughters of the beneficiaries registered in Chhattisgarh Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

The amount is given for the Education, EMPLOYMENT, self-employment and marriage of the daughters.

Start census soon, Baghel writes to PM

Chhattisgarh chief ministerBhupeshBaghelhas written a letter to Prime MinisterNarendra Modiurging him to direct the authorities concerned to release the schedule for new census.

The census operations, which was scheduled to be held in 2021, was stopped due to the pandemic. For the last 150 years, census was carried out every ten years and the data collected gives information about socio-economic and cultural changes in the country , Baghel said.

Pointing out that the figures of socio-economic situation collected during 2011 census is no longer relevant, the chief minister said along with the census, a new survey should also be started at the earliest to identify the deprived and eligible beneficiaries.

Chhattisgarh CM inaugurates vital bridge over Indravati river in Dantewada

Chief MinisterBhupesh Baghel inaugurated a bridge on Indravati river in Chhattisgarh’s insurgency-hit Dantewada district, which is strategically important as it will provide all weather connectivity to around 40 villages located in Abhujmad forests, an official said.

The 712 metre long bridge, built at a cost of Rs 47 crore, is located near Chhindnar village, which is 30 kilometres from Geedam town and 400 kilometres from here, he said.

The CM announced the bridge will be named after former sarpanch of Pahurnar villagePoseram Kashyap, who was killed by Naxals in 2018 after he had demanded its construction.

The CM sanctioned an amount of Rs 10 crore for development works in panchayats and Rs 3.91 for electrification in villages on the other side of the river.

CM Baghel announces Siyan Helpline for elderly persons

On the eve of the International Day for Older Persons, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced a Helpline facility for senior citizens to start from November 1, the foundation day of the state.

An official communiqu said the helpline would assist elderly persons whose children are working in other parts of the country or abroad.

Such elderly persons can call the Helpline in case of medical emergency. The administration will provide them necessary care, the communiqu said.

The Chief Minister has told the Chief Secretary to make necessary arrangements for starting the Helpline.

Baghel said it was the government’s moral duty to help such persons who have contributed to nation building.

Tap niche market for organic products: CM

The demand for pure and organic has increased. The need is to cater to this Niche market by utilizing all necessary Resources present in the villages, said Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

He was holding a review meeting of district officials at Baikunthpur as part of his Bhent Mulaqat (public interaction) drive.

Baghel said a niche market was being developed for organic products mainly grains, fruits and vegetables. This needed to be tapped and the rural areas could play a key role through .

The products will also get the right price. He said all the resources available in the villages can be utilized.

Baghel said with the establishment of a centre to process forest medicine, those making the collection and involved in value addition will get better prices.

He called for streamlining the works related to castecertificates. The process should be done on a regular basis. The sub-castes should also get the certificates, he said.

The Chief Minister said officers and employees are an integral part of the Governance system.

Chhattisgarh leads in maintaining, upgrading PMGSY roads

Chhattisgarh is currently the leading state in the country in maintaining and upgrading the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana PMGSY. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also lauded the efforts of the .

Under PMGSY, 2,589 roads of 16,297 km have been constructed in Chhattisgarh with an expenditure of Rs 8,736 crore.

This is mainly due to the government’s consistent allocation of funds towards the renovation of these roads as per the directive of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the statement said.

Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ravindra Choubey said there has been significant progress in the maintenance and upgradation of roads constructed under the PMGSY in the Naxalite-affected Bastar division.

The maintenance of 75 roads, totaling 231 km, was completed at a cost of Rs 37 crore.

Similarly, 146 roads in the tribal-dominated area of Surguja division, spanning a length of 560 km, were maintained at a cost of Rs 90 crore. The Minister said no funding was provided by the Centre for these works. However, the state has sought Central government funding for these initiatives.
