The department of information technology and Communication, government of Rajasthan signed a memorandum of understanding withIndian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam(IIMV).
The Inter-disciplinaryDecision Science and Analytics Lab(IDeAL) at IIMV will collaborate
with Rajasthan government to find solutions for crop pest control and management using AI, commodity price forecasting usingblockchaintechnology and operations, crop demand and supply forecasting for planning using analytics.The Vijayawada (VMC) has prepared abudgetwith an estimate of Rs 1393.54 crore for 2021-22. The first meeting of the newly elected municipal council will be held on April 17 in which
the budget proposals will be discussed.As per the projections, the municipal corporation has set itself a goal of around Rs 723.10 crore as income. Major portion of allocations will be made on drinking water pipeline restoration, road repairs and cement road works.
Andhra Pradeshhas set a new record in providing Health Services throughtelemedicine modein the country, with nearly 42% of calls received bytelemedicinecall centres in the country from Andhra Pradesh.
According to the latest report of Union ministry of health and family welfare, which initiated the e-Sanjivani concept (telemedicine), over 1. 3 crore calls were reported to YSR telemedicine centre out of the total 2. 7 crore calls received from all the states for consultation through telemedicine in the country in the last two years. Karnataka is next with around 42 lakh calls, followed by West Bengal (20 lakh calls) and Nadu (17 lakh calls).
The 104 call centre in the state received over 10 lakh calls in a span of three months
during the second wave of Covid-19 between May and July last year. The State Government deployed over 5,500 doctors, including 1,500 experts, at telemedicine centre to extend 24×7 services to patients. The has earned 1,000 crore from the sale of barytes mineral during the current fiscal. This is the highest ever revenue to be earned in a span of just 10 months of the fiscal. The government had netted around 900 crore during 2021-22 fiscal from sale of barytes.
AP is the only state with vast reserves of barytes mineral in the country, and meets nearly 25% of global demand from its mines in Mangampet area of Annamayya district. We are happy to have achieved tremendous results during the current fiscal.
APMDC, which was set up in 1961, launched exploration of barytes
mineral from quarries in Mangampet area in 1974. It continued its exploration operations manually due to the unavailability of machinery for several decades and later adopted advanced technology and modern machinery which helped it dig out more reserves. Mangampet basin is believed to have about 74 million tonnes of barytes mineral, out of whichAPMDChas so far excavated about 40 million tonnes.Chief ministerY SJaganMohan Reddydisbursed Rs 285.35 crore into the accounts of 2,85,350 beneficiaries, including tailors, barbers and dhobis who have their own shops. He transferred 10,000 each to the beneficiaries towards upgradation of their small business.
Interacting with beneficiaries, the chief minister said the government is providing financial assistance
in a transparent manner without Corruption. He said this government has turned the BCs from Backward Classes to Backbone Classes by empowering weaker sections socially, economically and politically. He further saidAndhra Pradeshis the first state in the country to create a BC Commission.Going into details, he said there were only 3.97 lakh government employees until the 2019 , whereas after the elections as many as 1,84,264 new jobs were created and over one lakh Outsourcing employees have been receiving EPF and ESI benefits through APCOS. By regularising RTC employees, the State Government is bearing an additional burden of 3,600 crore every year and additionally, a minimum timescale has been brought in for contract employees. The salary bill for 3.7 lakh government employees was 1,198 crore till 2019, but has now increased to 3,187 crore per annum.

He said the construction of 10.72 lakh houses in 10,055 layouts had already commenced.

that the identified villages would provide.The minister said another 44 villages in Andhra Pradesh are being made digital by the CSC e-Governance Service India Limited through funds sourced fromCorporate Social Responsibility(CSR) under its own initiative.
Services that are provided include basic computer course, course in computer concept andTally Kaushal Praman Patra.
Chief ministerY S Jagan Mohan Reddyhas asked officials to mergeanganwadicentres in the state withprimary schools. He has also told them to use anganwadi and primary schools TEACHING
staff to lay a strong Education foundation for children. The chief minister also released a book on spoken English and CDS designed by the department of Women development and child welfare for anganwadi teachers.The student-teacher ratio should be maintained and schools
should be within a two-kilometre radius for students. The chief minister said all schools and anganwadi centres are being revamped and a situation in which a school has to be closed down should not arise. He also directed officials to construct additional classrooms underNaadu-Neduwherever required.Energy secretary K Vijayanand said Andhra Pradesh is 16th state in country to install smart meters for the consumers. Addressing the media here on Monday, Vijayanand said 27 lakh smart meters will be installed across the state in the first phase.
