Acting at the directive of chief minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar government on Monday sent a financial assistance of Rs one crore to Lakshadweep for accelerating relief and rehabilitation works in the Tauktae cyclone-hit island.
The official said the Bihar government decided to send the to Lakshadweep after reports began pouring that Tauktae has left behind a trail of destruction in the countrys smallest union territory.
