India Ranked 10th in Global Cybersecurity Index

India has been ranked as the tenth excellent country in the world in the Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) 2020, launched by ITU (International Telecommunication Union). The GCI 2020 is the 4th edition of the annual index and ranked 194 countries. The GCI measures the dedication of countries to cybersecurity at a global level. Countries have been ranked on the foundation of overall performance on five parameters, which includes: legal measures, technical measures, organisational measures, capacity development, and cooperation.

Shalini Singhmade history as she completed the mountaineering course in the Himalayan area of Uttarakhand as the countrys first femaleNCC cadet.Shalini Singh, a 20-year-old NCC cadet from Lucknow, has become the first female cadet in India to complete the advanced mountaineering course. IndiasTata Group, a leading multinational conglomerate, has entered into an outline deal to construct a lithium-ion cell factory inGujarat, India. Gujarat intends to achieve a 50% decrease in carbon emissions and adopt 100% electric vehicles by 2030. With 48 GI-tagged goods to itscredit, UP is now 2nd in country

Uttar Pradeshhas achieved the second position nationally in terms of having the maximum number of Geographical Indication-tagged goods after receiving GI tags for three more ODOP crafts Mainpuri tarkashi,Mahoba Gaurastone craft, and Sambhal horn craft with the technical facilitation provided by the Varanasi-based NGO Human Welfare Association (HWA).

Naduhas maximum 55 GI-tagged goods while UP and Karnataka have 48 and 46 GI products, respectively. However, UP is first in terms of GI-tagged handicrafts with 36 crafts to its credit.

Currently Tamil Nadu has maximum 55 GI-tagged goods while UP and Karnataka have 48 and 46 Gi products, respectively. Among the 48 GI goods of UP, 36 products belong to the handicraft category. In Varanasi region alone, 18 GI-tagged goods out of 23 belong to the handicraft category.

NASA together with IBM Company has come up with a new project that will be carried forward with the help of (AI) and Machine Learning for building a sustainable foundation model. In May this year, these two big corporations formed an alliance with each other to collect geospatial data.

Geospatial Modeling or GIS is a special technique to detect patterns in any data that is related to maps or geospatial content. Spatial or Geospatial data is acquired by location and demographic attributes.

Over 1 crore farmers benefitted with ongoing paddy procurement

Over 1 crore farmers have been benefitted with the paddy procurement for KMS 2022-23 (Kharif crop). Around 713 LMT of paddy up to 01.03.2023 procured and the MSP outflow of Rs.146960 crores has been transferred directly into farmers account.

All arrangements are in place for hassle-free procurement operations. Rice delivery against the procured paddy is also in progress and against the paddy procurement of 713 LMT, around 246 LMT rice has been received in the Central Pool upto 01.03.2023. Adequate rice stock is currently available in the Central Pool for meeting the requirements of the country.
