The has requested Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) to allow it to utilize 13tmcft water forSagarright canal ayacut and drinking water needs.
The state has objected to KRMB asking it to stop using water fromNagarjuna Sagardam. The state said about 193 tmc ft water was left unutilized from APs quota whileTelanganahad utilized in excess of its quota.
The state also demanded KRMB to account for total utilization of water by both states. The state demanded KRMB to convene a full-board meeting to discuss water consumption by both states.
