BiharState Mining Corporation Limited is conducting environmental audit in accordance with the central governments Environmental Guide 2020 to prevent illegal mining in the state.Officials claimed that there are many environmental rules for sand mining and their compliance is very important. Keeping this in mind, environmental audit of all sand ghats of Bihar has been started.

Contractors have been selected and sand mining has been started in Bihar. As sand mining against prescribed standards is dangerous for nature, river Ecosystems and sustainable environmental protection, the mining corporation is conducting environmental audit.

These agencies will use latest technology and drones to inspect the respective sand ghats. They will be directed to audit the sand ghats on random basis.
