The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) exam annually to recruit officers for the following forces:

The exam consists of two stages:

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE)
  2. Physical Standards Test (PST) and Medical Standards Test (MST)

Computer Based Examination (CBE)

The CBE is a written exam conducted online. It comprises two papers:

Physical Standards Test (PST)

The PST is conducted for candidates who qualify the CBE. It is a physical fitness test that assesses the candidate’s physical abilities. The PST consists of the following events:
