balance of drawings for X is Rs. 1,500 x 12 / 2 = Rs. 9,000. The interest on this amount at 10% per annum is Rs. 9,000 x 10/100 = Rs. 900. The average balance of drawings for Y is Rs. 1,000 x 12 / 2 = Rs. 6,000. The interest on this amount at 10% per annum is Rs. 6,000 x 10/100 = Rs. 600.
