\nThe 22 languages are Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Bodo, Maithili, and Santhali were added by the 92nd Amendment Act of 2003. Ladakhi is a language spoken in the Ladakh region but is not among the scheduled languages.
