It provides that every State shall, by law, constitute a Municipal Corporation for every such area as may be specified in the law. The law may also provide for the constitution of a common Municipal Corporation for two or more areas.<\/p>\n<p>The Municipal Corporation shall consist of a Mayor, who shall be elected by the elected members of the Corporation, and such number of Councillors as may be prescribed by the law.
