Punjab Gram Panchayat Act, 1952.<\/p>\n<p>The Punjab Gram Panchayat Act, 1952 was enacted by the Government of Punjab to provide for the establishment and constitution of Gram Panchayats in the State of Punjab. The Act was applicable to all the districts of Punjab, except the hill districts of Kangra, Kullu, Lahul and Spiti.<\/p>\n<p>The Act provided for the establishment of Gram Panchayats in every village having a population of not less than 500.
