As of 2017, over 70 million women have been organized into SHGs under NRLM. These SHGs have mobilized over Rs. 1 lakh crore (US$ 15 billion) in savings. They have also taken loans of over Rs. 50,000 crore (US$ 7.5 billion) from banks and other financial institutions.<\/p>\n<p>NRLM has also been successful in promoting rural entrepreneurship. SHGs have set up over 10 million enterprises under NRLM. These enterprises have created over 10 million jobs for rural women.<\/p>\n<p>NRLM is a flagship program of the Government of India.
