The blocks are further divided into gram panchayats.<\/p>\n<p>The districts are administered by Deputy Commissioners, who are appointed by the Government of Assam. The sub-divisions are administered by Sub-Divisional Officers, who are also appointed by the Government of Assam. The blocks are administered by Block Development Officers, who are appointed by the Government of Assam.
