The award is a bronze medal, 35 millimetres in diameter, with a lotus flower in the centre. The obverse bears the effigy of the reigning monarch, and the reverse bears the inscription “Mahavir Chakra” in Devanagari script. The ribbon is of light blue with a central stripe of orange.<\/p>\n
