Venkatraman Ramakrishnan (also known as Venki Ramakrishnan), an Indian-born British-American structural biologist and Nobel laureate, served as the President of the Royal Society from November 2015 to November 2020.
Ronald Ross (Nobel in Medicine 1902, born in India, worked in India) was elected FRS but was not President. Har Gobind Khorana (Nobel in Medicine 1968, born in India, worked mostly in the US) was not President. C.V. Raman (Nobel in Physics 1930) was elected FRS but was not President.
