The venue of the 2nd BRICS Youth Summit of Ministers, Officials and Youth Delegations was Guwahati.

India hosted the 8th BRICS Summit in Goa in October 2016. As part of the events leading up to the main summit, the 2nd BRICS Youth Summit was held from July 1-3, 2016, in Guwahati, Assam. The theme of the summit was “Youth as bridge for intra-BRICS exchanges”.
