The Twelfth South Asian Games, officially known as the 12th South Asian Games, was a multi-sport event held in Guwahati and Shillong, India from February 5 to 16, 2016. India won the overall medal tally with 309 medals, including 151 gold medals. Nepal finished second with 101 medals, followed by Bangladesh with 78 medals.
