Doctors’ Day is celebrated on 1 July every year in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, the first Chief Minister of West Bengal. He was a renowned physician, educationist, politician and social reformer. He is also known as the “Father of Modern Medicine in India”.
