The primary responsibility of the Board of Revenue in Odisha is revenue administration. The Board of Revenue is a statutory body constituted under the Odisha Revenue Administration Act, 1953. It is headed by the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) and has two members, one of whom is a retired IAS officer and the other is a retired judicial officer. The Board is responsible for the administration of land revenue, stamps and registration, excise, and other revenue matters in the state.
