The primary responsibility of the Board of Revenue in Odisha is revenue administration. The Board of Revenue is a statutory body constituted under the Odisha Revenue Administration Act, 1953. It is headed by the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) and has two members, one of whom is a retired IAS officer and the other is a retired judicial officer. The Board is responsible for the administration of land revenue, stamps and registration, excise, and other revenue matters in the state.
Land reforms are the process of changing the ownership or use of land. They can be carried out by the government or by private individuals.
