The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019 has 10 Parts.
Part I deals with the short title, extent, commencement and application of the Act.
Part II deals with the formation of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Part III deals with the formation of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Part IV deals with the transfer of territories to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Part V deals with the transfer of territories to the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Part VI deals with the adaptation of laws in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Part VII deals with the adaptation of laws in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Part VIII deals with the transitional provisions.
Part IX deals with the savings and consequential provisions.
Part X deals with the repeal and saving provisions.
The Act was passed by the Parliament of India on August 5, 2019 and came into force on October 31, 2019.
