The INSV Tarini expedition, ‘Navika Sagar Parikrama’, involved an all-women crew circumnavigating the globe. The expedition, which began in September 2017, included four scheduled stopovers: Fremantle (Australia), Lyttelton (New Zealand), Port Stanley (Falkland Islands), and Cape Town (South Africa). Durban, while a major port in South Africa, was not one of the planned stopovers for the INSV Tarini expedition.
The planned stopovers for the INSV Tarini circumnavigation were Fremantle, Lyttelton, Port Stanley, and Cape Town.
INSV Tarini completed its historic voyage and returned to Goa in May 2018. It was the first-ever circumnavigation of the globe by an all-women Indian crew.
