Dr. Masti Venkatesh Iyengar wrote in Kannada. He was a Kannada writer, novelist, short story writer, essayist, critic, and journalist. He is considered one of the most important writers in Kannada literature. He was awarded the Jnanpith Award, India’s highest literary award, in 1983.
