Smallpox (3) is a viral disease that was officially declared eradicated globally by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1980. India was declared smallpox-free in 1977 following extensive vaccination campaigns. Diphtheria (1) and Chickenpox (2) are both vaccine-preventable diseases but have not been eradicated in India or globally; cases still occur.
