The current Governor of Gujarat is Acharya Devvrat. He was appointed to the position on 23 August 2016. Acharya Devvrat is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has been a member of the Rajya Sabha since 2012. He is a former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pracharak and has served as the chief of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Gujarat.
Vijay Rupani was the 16th Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2016 to 2021. He was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and represented Rajkot West in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. He was the first Chief Minister of Gujarat to be born after India’s independence.
Bhupendra Patel is the 17th and current Chief Minister of Gujarat. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and represents Ghatlodia in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. He was appointed as the Chief Minister on 26 September 2021, following the resignation of Vijay Rupani.
Nitin Patel is a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. He has served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat since 2016. He is also the Minister of Finance, Home, Urban Development and Urban Housing in the Gujarat government.
