What was India’s rank at the Rio Para-Olympics ?

India finished 44th in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games with 4 medals (1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze).

• The gold medal was won by Mariyappan Thangavelu in the men’s high jump T42 event.
• The silver medals were won by Deepa Malik in the women’s shot put F53 event and Devendra Jhajharia in the men’s javelin throw F46 event.
• The bronze medal was won by Varun Singh Bhati in the men’s discus throw F46 event.

India’s performance at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games was its best ever, surpassing its previous best of 46th place at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
