High Court Judge
Prime Minister
Supreme Court Judge
None of Above

The correct answer is: D. None of Above

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) is an independent constitutional authority of India, responsible for auditing the accounts of the central and state governments, as well as of public sector undertakings. The CAG is appointed by the President of India on the recommendation of a select committee of the Parliament. The CAG can only be removed from office on the recommendation of a joint parliamentary committee, after an impeachment process.

A High Court Judge can be removed from office on the ground of proved misbehavior or incapacity, on the recommendation of the President of India, after an address by each House of Parliament supported by a majority of the total membership of that House and by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members present and voting.

A Prime Minister can be removed from office by a vote of no confidence in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament. If the Prime Minister loses a vote of no confidence, the President of India can either dissolve the Lok Sabha and call for fresh elections, or appoint a new Prime Minister.

A Supreme Court Judge can be removed from office on the ground of proved misbehavior or incapacity, on the recommendation of the President of India, after an address by each House of Parliament supported by a majority of the total membership of that House and by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members present and voting.

The CAG is not removable in the same manner as a High Court Judge, a Prime Minister, or a Supreme Court Judge. The CAG is a more independent authority, and its removal is more difficult. This is because the CAG is responsible for auditing the accounts of the government, and it is important that the CAG be able to do its job without fear or favor.
