Antil started playing javelin throw in 2015. He won the gold medal at the 2016 Asian Para Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. He also won the gold medal at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London, United Kingdom.

At the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan, Antil won the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw F64 event with a throw of 68.55 meters, breaking the world record by more than 10 meters. His throw was also the longest throw ever recorded in the F64 category.

Antil is a national hero in India. He has been awarded the Arjuna Award, the fourth highest civilian award in India, for his achievements in sports. He is also the recipient of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, the highest sporting honor in India.
