Exam Pattern

Constable (GD)

Stage Description
Stage 1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Candidates must clear the following tests:
* Race: 1.6 km in 6 minutes 30 seconds (for males) and 7 minutes 30 seconds (for females)
* High Jump: 1.2 meters (for males) and 1 meter (for females)
* Long Jump: 4.5 meters (for males) and 3.5 meters (for females)
* Shot Put: 4.5 kg (for males) and 3 kg (for females)
Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST) Candidates must clear the following tests:
* Height: As per the prescribed standards.
* Chest: As per the prescribed standards.
* Weight: As per the prescribed standards.
Stage 3: Written Exam The written exam will be conducted online and will consist of the following sections:
* General Intelligence and Reasoning: 50 questions
* General Knowledge and Current Affairs: 50 questions
* Numerical Aptitude: 50 questions
* English Language: 50 questions
Stage 4: Medical Examination Candidates who qualify in the written exam will be called for a medical examination.
Stage 5: Document Verification Candidates who clear the medical examination will have to undergo document verification.
Stage 6: Final Merit List The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the written exam and the physical tests.

Stage Description
Stage 1: Written Exam The written exam will be conducted online and will consist of the following sections:
* General Ability and Intelligence: 100 questions
* General Awareness: 100 questions
* Reasoning and Comprehension: 100 questions
* Arithmetic and Data Interpretation: 100 questions
* English Language: 100 questions
Stage 2: Interview Candidates who qualify in the written exam will be called for an interview.
Stage 3: Medical Examination Candidates who qualify in the interview will be called for a medical examination.
Stage 4: Document Verification Candidates who clear the medical examination will have to undergo document verification.
Stage 5: Final Merit List The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the written exam, interview, and physical tests.
