The Education<\/a> department has identified 650schoolsacross the state to be upgraded toPM Schools for Rising India(PM SHRI) and sent a proposal to the central government, said officials on Friday. Officials said that there will be upgradation in these schools as mentioned in the National Education Policy (NEP) and the new curriculum being developed under the policy will be followed there. These schools will be like model schools forNEPin the state.<\/p>\n

The PM SHRI is a new scheme for the development of over 14,500 schools across the country, by strengthening selected existing schools being managed by central government or state governments or union territories government or local bodies. These schools will act as exemplar schools showcasing all components of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) and offer mentorship to other schools in the area.<\/p>\n

The scheme was launched in September 2022 with the aim of delivering quality TEACHING<\/a> for the cognitive development of students and to create and nurture holistic and well-rounded individuals equipped with key skills required for the 21st century. All these schools will be developed as green schools following sustainable practices. At these schools, the focus will be on improving foundational Literacy<\/a> and numeracy and Learning<\/a> outcomes in children.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
