Andhra Pradeshhas come up with a draft Energy Efficiency<\/a> policy. The measures proposed under this draft policy are expected to save around 16,875 million units, which is equivalent to 25.6% of the total electricity demand of the state.<\/p>\n

In monetary terms, it will be worth Rs 11,779 crore annual saving. This is expected to reduce carbon emissions to the tune of around 14.34 million tons.<\/p>\n

Bureau of Energy Efficiency secretary,Milind Deore, during a virtual meeting with state designated agencies (SDAs) spoke about various initiatives of Andhra Pradesh, including the draft energy efficiency policy.
