Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain on Friday told officials to take necessary steps for effective implementation, monitoring and coordination to establish C-Marts in each district headquarter across the state.<\/p>\n

An official Communication<\/a> said that at a meeting of the empowered committee, Collectors were told to enlist and prepare details of the Self-Help Groups, weavers, artisans and Cottage industries<\/a> of their districts whose products would be on sale at the showrooms of C-Marts.<\/p>\n

The Chief Secretary stressed the need to properly commercially market the products made in rural areas, the communication said.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the Managing Director of the Minor Forest Produce Federation, Dr Sanjay Shukla, said the C-Marts would be opened in cities to market the products manufactured in the villages.<\/p>\n

The objective is to boost the rural economy<\/a>, he said.<\/p>\n

It should be equipped with all the amenities for proper showcasing of the products to attract customers, he said.<\/p>\n

The Marketing<\/a> of these products would be done on the lines of the system developed for the products of Chhattisgarh Herbals brand, he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
