Statecabinetheaded by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan decided to increase the honorarium of district and janpad panchayat presidents and vice-presidents. Now the district panchayat presidents will get an honorarium of Rs 1 lakh per month.<\/p>\n

Briefing the media after the cabinet meeting, Home<\/a> minister Narottam Mishra said, Honorarium and vehicle allowance of the district panchayat president has been increased to Rs 1 lakh monthly while honorarium for the district panchayat vice-presidents has been increased to Rs 42,000 monthly.<\/p>\n

It was also approved to increase the honorarium of janpad panchayat president to Rs 19,500 monthly and that of janpad panchayat vice-president to Rs 13,500 per month. Along with this, the maximum annual honorarium of panch and up-sarpanch will be Rs 1,800 monthly. Approval was also given to the Madhya Pradesh Capacity Building Policy-2023 for thecapacity buildingof government employees and officials.<\/p>\n

A release said that this policy has been prepared by incorporating the concept and characteristics of Mission Karmayogi implemented by the Government of India. For this, a new budget head Mission Karmayogi will be created with 1% of the budget available in the salary head of each department.
