In a shot in the arm to the efforts being put in by theAndhra PradeshState Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM), the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) has come forward to map the Energy Efficiency<\/a> and conservation measures of the state. The activity taken up by GIZ, namely energy efficiency in states-mapping and way forward, will help understand and collate the policies of Andhra Pradesh pertaining to energy efficiency, especially in the Industrial Sector<\/a>.GIZhas entrusted the project toPricewaterhouseCoopers(PwC).<\/p>\n

GIZs activity in Andhra Pradesh comes at a time when APSECM is going to propose the Andhra Pradesh energy conservation and energy efficiency policy to the , which is expected to save around 16,875 million units of electricity worth 11,779 crore out of total annual energy demand of around 65,830 million units.
