The will construct one lakh wells across the State to improve Irrigation<\/a> facilities for the farmers. The wells construction target will be decided district wise.<\/p>\n

For this, assistance will also be given to the beneficiaries for the construction of the well. Rs 50 thousand for boulder well construction and one lakh rupees per well for brick well construction will be given to the beneficiaries under the material item of irrigation well construction. On the instructions of Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, the draft of Birsa Irrigation Well Enhancement Scheme has been prepared, which will be worked by convergence with MGNREGA. One lakh wells will be constructed in two phases. In the first phase, 50 thousand wells will be constructed in this financial year and in the second phase in 2023-24, 50 thousand wells will be constructed.<\/p>\n

The approval of the Departmental Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam and the Finance Department has been received on this scheme. Soon the approval of the cabinet will also be taken.<\/p>\n

The launch of this scheme will also help in providing 100 days work guarantee under MNREGA. Workers will be provided work as per the demand in the financial year. Workers registered with MNREGA will be engaged in construction work. Assistance will also be given in creating well construction assets, protecting the Environment<\/a>, empowering rural Women<\/a> and reducing Migration<\/a> to cities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
