A decision in this regard was taken on Friday at a cabinet sub-committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Agriculture<\/a>-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture<\/a> Minister Ravindra Choubey.<\/p>\n

Choubey told the media that they have chosen the day as it was death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.<\/p>\n

This flagship scheme of the is known as a morale booster for famers and has encouraged farming and farm sector in Chhattisgarh.<\/p>\n

Under the scheme, record paddy procurement of 92 lakh tonnes was done from the farmers from December 1, 2020 to February 15 this year.<\/p>\n

Under the scheme, a financial assistance of Rs 10,000 per acre is given to the farmers apart from paying them the minimum support price fixed by the Union Government<\/a>.<\/p>\n
