The Saryu Canal National Project will be launched by PM Modi On 11 December in Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n

Highlights:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Saryu Canal project, the biggest in Uttar Pradesh, will benefit 25-30 lakh farmers over nine eastern UP districts.<\/p>\n

The canal will promote Irrigation<\/a> of 14.04 lakh hectares of land and reduce the risk of floods in many flood-prone areas.<\/p>\n

The irrigated site under the project will be 4.04 lakh hectares.<\/p>\n

Five rivers, i.e. Ghagra, Rapti, Banganga, Saryu, and Rohini, have been connected.<\/p>\n
