Months ahead of the 2022 Assembly polls, the has launched an Insurance<\/a> scheme for registered workers in the unorganised sector.<\/p>\n

The scheme will benefit a massive 4.5 crore people, or 21% of UPs Population<\/a>. Registered workers will also be eligible for cashless, free medical treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh under the CM Jan Aarogya Scheme.<\/p>\n

The CMs Disaster Insurance Scheme is meant only for registered workers though sources said<\/p>\n

that the government will now embark on a major drive to register all workers in unorganised sector.<\/p>\n

The full amount will be paid in case of death, complete disability, or loss of two limbs. In case of loss of one limb or an eye, 50% of the amount will be paid. If permanent disability is over 50% but less than 100%, then 50% of the amount will be given but if disability is 25%-50%, then 25% of the amount will be given.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
