According to officials of the school education department of Indore district, although the Census haven’t been conducted in 2021, Indore is considered literate district as the literacy per cent of the district is over 80 per cent.<\/p>\n

As per the data of IndiaCensus.net, the literacy rate of Madhya Pradesh is 69.3 per cent and the literacy rate of Indore is 80.9 per cent which is the second highest of the state followed byBhopal.<\/p>\n

Moreover, in the state,Jabalpurhas the highest literacy rate and Alirajpur has the lowest literacy rate.<\/p>\n
