In a decisive push to by private players in UP, the state cabinet headed by chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday approved the scheme of providing financial incentive for establishment of data centres in the state. The measure was introduced in the UP Data Centre Policy-2021 which envisaged attracting firms to set up data centres all over the state, not just Noida.<\/p>\n

The work of setting up of four data centre parks with an investment of over Rs 15,950 crore is under process. These include NIDP Developers Pvt Ltd of Hiranandani Group with investment of Rs 9134.9 crore, NTT Global Centers and Cloud Infrastructure<\/a> India Pvt Ltd of Japan with investment of Rs 1,687 crore and two projects of Rs 2,414 crore and Rs 2,713 crore each of Adani Enterprises Ltd. These will provide direct and indirect EMPLOYMENT<\/a> to more than 4,000 people. Hiranandani Group’s first institute is expected to be ready in July and commercial work is likely to start in September.<\/p>\n

The cabinet has decided to give necessary impetus to these projects, with the condition that the investment made under the policy period will be considered for permissibility of financial incentives and will be started during the policy period (5 years).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
