The Chhattisgarh government announced various sops for promoting electric vehicles which include waiver of road tax and registration fee.<\/p>\n

Also, the State Goods and Services<\/a> Tax (SGST) will be reimbursed for manufacture of electric vehicles. Electricity tariff for charging stations will be waived.<\/p>\n

An official Communication<\/a> said the state has set a target of procuring four lakh electric vehicles by 2026-27.<\/p>\n

There will be 100percent road tax exemption on all electric vehicles purchased during the first two years from the date of commencement of this policy. Road tax exemption on all-electric vehicles purchased in the next two years and one year will be 50 percent and 25 percent respectively, the communication said.<\/p>\n

To develop the manufacturing enterprise, the government will give a grant
