The on Thursday announced free distribution of food grains including one kilogram pulses per household to ration card holders so that poor people get protein and other nutrients. State Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon, while presenting the budget today announced that the State government is committed to provide protein nutrients to the poor and distribution of pulses to ration card holders is in this step.<\/p>\n

Apart from announcing one kilogram of pulses to ration card holders, the finance minister also announced that people will get 100 units of free electricity. As the Soren government budget primarily focuses on farmers, tribalsand poor, the other announcement made in the budget is launch of Godhan Vikas Yojana in State under which the government will purchase cow dung from farmers for producing biogas.<\/p>\n

The Godhan Vikas Yojana is on the lines of a similar scheme run by Chhattisgarh government aims at boosting the rural economy<\/a> by procuring cow dung from farmers and cattle rearers initially in the rural area later in the urban area too.<\/p>\n

Godhan Nyay Yojana is the scheme launched on 21st July 2020, on the occasion of Hareli, the first festival of the state, by the Chhattisgarh government led by Bhupesh Baghel. Under the scheme the Chhattisgarh government procures cow dung at Rs 2 per kilogram from farmers. The finance minister while presenting the budget also announced to set up reading rooms in Ranchi for students from BPL families preparing for competitive examinations like engineering, medical and other competitive examinations. <\/p>\n

An additional payment of Rs 50,000 will be made to the beneficiary of PM Awas Yojana. The government will give this amount to the people for the construction of additional room. There is also a plan to open Palash Retail Outlet for the sale of items produced by Sakhi Mandals. The state government will promote eco-tourismwith focus in setting tourist centres at tourist centres.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
